About
The Auxilia Initiative provides training to therapists in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and G-TEP (Group-Traumatic Episode Protocol). After a crisis in the community, we connect community members with trained therapists who can facilitate interventions that can reduce the impact of recent trauma. We also connect trained therapists with local first responders as they encounter challenging situations, and offer monthly G-TEP groups to allow for regular processing of the distressing events they frequently witness.

The Auxilia Initiative is volunteer-led, and a perfect example of community in action. We can't do what we do without a community of volunteers. From volunteer therapists who provide interventions, to first responders who provide referral information to community members after a crisis, there are a multitude of ways to take part. Find out how you can get involved.
